Photos Stay Sharp at Minim Light Situations

Often interesting objects come in a situation where we have to take pictures in low light condition, and we do not want (or cannot) use the flash, but we want to produce images that stay sharp. Objects such as view the beautiful city at night, music concerts in the evening or a party atmosphere unfortunately passed away without a camera in action. Here are tips to be able to still produce the optimum picture:

1. Tripod. The most powerful tool and easy is the tripod.

2. If a tripod is not available, keep the camera steady by using the surrounding environment, for example with the body leaning against the wall, holding my breath etc.

3. Try to use the aperture as possible, if your lens has a limit of the largest aperture f/3.5, f/3.5 aperture wear

4. If the above two tricks were not enough, raise the ISO the camera until we reach a minimum shutter speed of 1 / 60 (on some of the latest generation of cameras can use the above settings up to ISO 1000 and are still able to produce low noise images)

5. When using tips to-4, you should activate High ISO Noise Reduction feature on the camera to reduce noise, or the following five options is better (and more expensive) are:

6. Or you can pass tips on to-5 by using noise reduction software to reduce noise in post production stage. Software like Noise Ninja, Imagenomic Noiseware or Nik’s Dfine pretty powerful to tame the noise in the final results of our photos.
